Classifying/Grouping Materials

Classifying/Grouping Materials teaches students about different types of matter and how it can be classified by various characteristics, like form (solid, liquid, gas) or basic properties (brittleness, color, conductivity, elasticity, hardness, magnetism, shape, and texture ). Other classifications explored include weight, size, temperature, and type of material.
