Consumption and Waste

Consumption and Waste invites students to think about the impact that commercialism has on our environment. After looking at the waste involved with buying a new car, students learn about the history of waste disposal, including landfills, incinerators, and recycling. Electronic waste and hazardous waste is explored in-depth before potential solutions to the waste problem are discussed.
