The program follows a sound and consistent instructional design that benefits both students and teacher.

STEP 1

DIAGNOSTIC PRETEST
Students take a Diagnostic Test that assesses all TEKS and chart their results on the reproducible skills chart located in the Teacher Guide. Data-driven instruction can then focus on specific lessons containing practice for individual student needs.

STEP 2

REVIEW
Lessons follow guided review of the specific skills in the TEKS and are organized using the four reporting categories. In addition, test-taking strategies are embedded in every lesson to help students become test wise.

STEP 3

PRACTICE
Every lesson concludes with a timed practice test that covers the skills and test-taking strategies taught in that lesson.

STEP 4

MASTERY
Students demonstrate growth with a comprehensive Mastery Test that matches the STAAR Assessment Framework, including the number and percentage of questions representing Readiness and Supporting Standards.
